ANZAC day and welcome Leo!
At the moment we have an ANZAC day display up in the library. ANZAC day is in the holidays this year, so we will keep our display up after the holidays too, so you have a chance to check it out.
We have three brand new books about WW1 that you might like to read. I especially like Torty and the Soldier.
Under the ANZAC day display shelf you can find our boxes of National Library books. We are borrowing these from the National Library until term 3. There are heaps of great books! How many can you read before we send them back?!
Finally, an official welcome to Leo! An overwhelming majority of students voted for the name Leo! Thanks to everyone who made a suggestion. Leo is going to look after the library for us over the holidays. I'm sure he will be really looking forward to hearing what you have done and what books you read when you get back to school for term 2.

A lion in the library!
Did you notice that we have a lion in the library?! He is going to live in our library. He really, really loves stories, so it would be great if you can read to him.
We need to choose a name for our lion. If you think of a good name, you can write it on a star. Then Pam, Clare and the librarians will decide on a good name for him.

Comics in the library!
Kase made these awesome comic books! He shared them with us in the library on Thursday at lunchtime. Well done Kase! I think your comics are amazing. I wonder if anyone else is interested in making comics?

Last Chance Books
The latest library display is about 'Last Chance Books'. These are books that Clare has chosen because they have not been issued for a long time, or very often.
Would you like to rescue one of these last chance books!? Then you should borrow one to read! When you return it, come and talk to Clare about whether it should stay or go.
